21 days in cambodia

BACK! Yesh! I'm back from good old cambodia! 21 days of fun & excitement, culture shocks and labour, interaction and gossips, brand new experience and nature beauty...wow wow WOW...glad to be part of PA X- the 31 men team...now let me share my thoughts for this special trip with pics! dun worry...i'll try to be short & sweet...wahaha!

DAY 1 & 2 (R&R)

Touchdown on Siem Reap Airport...quite a well furnished airport...hehez...we then headed to the guesthouse to put our backpacks. For the 1st day, we visited mini pottery & fabric factories...2nd day was the Angkor Wat tour...magnificant! of cos, we took many many photos at angkor wat...juz like normal s'porean tourists...wahaha!

DAY 3-10
one of the biggest culture shock was to stay at Kampong Phluk..a city gal like me...never experienced living in a fishing village before...to slp at houses made of wood, bamboos and dried leaves (under mosquito nets), to walk on sand (not cement), to bath in sarongs with buckets of water (taken from a well-ground water!), to cook using firewood & wash dishes with muddy water! to teach cambodian kids (physically strong!!!) english, a job as a construction worker, to climb up wobbly steps, to walk with chickens, ducks, dogs everywhere, to experience complete darkness at night, fantastic star-gazing, sampan ride! great homestay and great ppl!

Day 11-17 (Tapang)

we headed to the 2nd village- Tapang! beautiful scenery and our main mission there was to build a classroom for the students there! we did cementing, pounding, painting! a very fulfilling experience! pics represent a thousand words!

DAY 18-22 (Phnom Phenh)

After 2 weeks of hard wrk, it's relax & shopping time! we headed from siem reap to phnom phenh! we went to sorya shopping centre, silk factory, landmines museum, genocide museum and killing field. we're back to tourists! oh ya...i tried the cambodia full body massage as well...but i was massaged by a guy! oh gosh! hehez...embarrassing moment lohz...(also include unglam photos of me slping-not to be disclosed...wahahahz)

oh man! i've still loads of pics to show...but i think i'll stop for now...for more photos...u can refer to my facebook acct! or u can ask me personally! hehehz...overall..it had been a fun trip...i learnt to appreciate my current life, to know my strengths and weaknesses, to work as a team & overcome obstacles, to communicate with the cambodian ppl, to understand more abt cambodian culture in terms of their lifestyles, and many many more! i really urge u guys who never been to YEP to be part of one! definitely wonderful memories tat's hard to forget!
